I am free at last from my past,
As free as I can be,
I run around in the park and yard,
Sniffing every tree.
I am free at last from my past,
As free as I can be,
I play around with humans and hounds,
Not afraid to be me.
I am free at last from my past,
As free as I can be,
I eat my treats in the kitchen knowing,
The reason I am free...is because I got an owner,
who just happens to love me.
please note this poem is dedicated to my rescued dogs (both current and past)- they taught me (and continue to teach me) about unconditional love. I hope more dogs get adopted so that they can share their love with their new owners.
Some dog rescue organizations in Calgary include the Calgary Humane Society and City of Calgary Animal Services- if you want a dog and your from Calgary feel free to check those to websites out! They got lots of dogs ready for adoption. If you would like to look into adopting a dog from another rescue group/ shelter please search for the group on Google Canada's website.
